Sandstone Trail – less than 1 mile
Stride out along the Sandstone Trail, a 55km/34 mile trail from Frodsham to Whitchurch, and sample some of the finest walking in Cheshire. Follow the ridge of sandstone that rises dramatically from the Cheshire plain and enjoy the walk.

Delemere Forest – 17 miles
Delamere Forest Park is ideal for cycling. Smooth sandy tracks with only a few gentle hills provide an ideal surface. Mature Scots pine, wetland and Blakemere provide the ideal setting for for an afternoon’s family cycle ride. After your ride, why not try out the new bike wash at the Visitor Centre, and leave the mud and crud behind!
It is also idea for walking especially with young children or less able people due to the easier routes available.
