Our site is surrounded by beautiful countryside and breathtaking scenery. It is a favourite spot for avid walkers and people who simply appreciate the natural beauty. The nearby Peckforton and Bickerton hills are perfect for a hike irrespective of your abilities and there are some excellent views of the Cheshire Plains to see should you make it to the top. The famous Sandstone trail, another favourite for walkers is also very close by.
The renowned Cheshire Ice Cream Farm, home to over thirty flavours, is a short walk away and is a hit with all our guests. There is also a recently opened indoor play area and petting zoo which amuse younger children. Also nearby you can find the Cheshire Candle Workshop where you can try your hand at making your own candle. There’s a range of other activities for children to be found here.
However, if you prefer something a little more exhilarating then a couple of miles away you’ll find a mountain boarding centre and skate park. Mountain boarding is the perfect activity for older children and teenagers as well as those of you who prefer a more adventurous day out.
Of course there is also Chester, which is just a fifteen minute drive away. This historic city is well known for it’s intriguing architecture and busy shopping district where you’ll find the famous ‘rows’ where unusual shops and boutiques are built into the ancient city walls. The city is also home to a wide variety of pubs and eateries too.
